Teshanda Middleton, M.Ed.

2017-18 Building Excellent Schools Fellow

Teshanda Middleton has an undergraduate degree in elementary education and a graduate degree in curriculum and instruction. She began her career in 2002 as a public middle school teacher at Sherwood Middle School in Memphis, TN. She has also worked as a teacher development coach.  Her passion for literacy led her to Scholastic Incorporated and later Achieve3000, where she served many years as a senior implementation and project manager. Working in partnership with district and school leaders to incorporate adaptive technology, blended learning, and professional development, her work has resulted in increased academic performance for students in diverse school districts across the country.

Ms. Middleton is a 2017-18 Building Excellent Schools Fellow which has allowed her to study over 60 high performing schools across the country. She brings to Aster College Prep a network of 80+ proven leaders in urban education to share tools, best practices, and resources that will forever enhance the mission, vision, and purpose of our great school.
